Our Story
Middle Kingdom Rescue was founded with a simple yet profound goal: to make a difference in the lives of stray animals and to help guide people with their animal rescue efforts. In China, stray cats and dogs are a common sight, often living in harsh conditions without access to regular food, shelter, or medical care. Our journey began with a few compassionate individuals who couldn’t turn a blind eye to the suffering of these innocent creatures. We started small, feeding and caring for a handful of animals, but our passion and dedication soon grew into a larger movement.
Our Mission
Our mission is to rescue, rehabilitate, and re-home stray animals, giving them a second chance at life. We believe that every animal deserves a loving home and the opportunity to live a happy, healthy life. Through our efforts, we aim to:
- Rescue: Provide immediate relief to animals in distress, whether they are injured, abandoned, or living in unsafe conditions.

- Lychee the Kitten: Rescued from a busy street, Lychee was in poor health and needed extensive care. Today, he is a playful and loving cat, thriving in his new home with us.
- Quinn the curious and clumsy dog. Quinn lived with his parents and brother Harley in some bushes beside a restaurant in the city of Nanjing, China. When his brother’s leg was broken we rescued him and a few days later managed to catch Quinn too so he wouldn’t be left alone on the streets. He now lives in Nigeria with a loving family.
