A lady spotted an abandoned dog at the side of the road. This dog was hard to miss because he is a big boy with a lot of overgrown hair. She heard from locals that he had been abandoned there a while ago and felt inspired and decided she wanted to help this big beautiful dog.

Before she could help him, she called in some local groomers to take a look at his hair and see if they could cut it. It was so badly overgrown and the dreadlock style hair looked very uncomfortable and hot.
Not only was the hair knotted and uncomfortable but the dog was infested with parasites and had some skin disease. The groomer had to be very careful to not cause discomfort when cutting off the thick hair. Any pulling or cutting close to the dog’s skin is irritating and very uncomfortable but he is well behaved and such a good natured dog.
While shaving his front legs they noticed that his front left poor was deformed. This is why he wasn’t moving very well and won’t be able to run like other dogs. It’s not a big worry though, dogs can usually adjust well to deformities and live as normal a life as possible.
Just look at this new dog appearing after all the hair is cut off. Theres a giant mound of hair on the floor and it’s time for a well needed wash. He’s such a dog boy as they rub a special skin disease shampoo into his hair. This will clean him and also begin to treat his skin disease.
We often use special skin disease medicine for Lychee and Teeny who have both had skin disease before. Here is a video of Lychee our rescue kitten having his first wash. We also took our Pekingese rescue Lumi the dog for a wash and he was a good boy too.
After his wash this big boy needed his nail trimming and a closer shave. The groomer found some ticks and had to remove them carefully. It’s so important to learn how to remove ticks carefully because they can break off and be very dangerous. We also use a tick collar on our dog Teeny to protect her as best as possible from tick bites which are very common in our region of China.
The lady who spotted this big hairy abandoned dog could now take him home and give him a forever home where he could be loved and have all the haircuts he could possible ever want. Watch this dog being groomed at the pet salon in the Groom House video below.
