Look at this door, can you imagine that behind it lived a beautiful pitfall. How could somebody let a beautiful dog live in these conditions. A pit bull was left alone behind this door at a ship yard, struggling to survive. He must have been so lonely and scared.

The kind-hearted workers at the yard noticed him and began feeding him daily, forming a bond with the abandoned dog. When Hope For Paws was contacted, rescuers Alex and Katie arrived with food to help earn the dog’s trust.

This pit bull, named Mack, quickly warmed up to the rescuers and willingly followed them to safety. Without a microchip to identify him, Mack was taken to CARES for a much-needed bath and a health check.

During his exam, vets discovered Mack had an enlarged prostate. Thankfully, the condition was treatable with neutering and vaccination, allowing him to start his recovery journey.
