Man ambushed by 13 homeless kittens

This is the beautiful heartwarming story of how a man called Robert spotted a homeless kitten on the side of the road ended up with a big surprise. He was driving along a side road when he saw a small kitten near the thick grass. Without fear and maybe desperate for food or just curious and adventurous, the kitten runs up to the man. He picks up the kitten, concerned that it might get run over by a passing car. There is no way this tiny little baby can survive out here alone.

Amazingly the second Robert picks up this sweet little kitty, loads more kittens jump out of the thick grass and run towards him. I’m not sure whether they are coming to his rescue or maybe they saw that he seemed to be ok and decided it was worth taking a chance to come and see what’s going on.

Robert is clearly unsure what to do but doesn’t want to leave the kittens out there alone. Here in China we used to feed 30-40 homeless cats and dogs every night and every so often kittens or puppies would appear. Because there were so many animals it wasn’t possible to rescue them all, but amazingly in this video Robert just can’t live with the idea of leaving them behind. But how is he going to manage to catch and rescue so many kittens running all over the place?

We don’t see how he manages it but it must have taken a little running around to catch them. They are all in the back of his car and jumping all over the place. He has managed to rescue them and it turns out that there are 13 kittens! I wonder whether this was a very big litter or a few litters of kittens. Usually cats have less kittens than this but it is possible for them to have more than 13 kittens and sometimes even close to 20.

Robert cleans up the kittens, giving them each a bath and dries them with a towel, they look so cute!. We can see he has a gorgeous dog who is enjoying the company of all these new kittens. What a lucky day that they ran into such a compassionate man and animal lover. The story continues and Robert and his family look after the kittens until they are old enough to find forever homes. 3 of the kittens stay with Robert and his family and the other 10 all go to there own special forever homes.

It’s so beautiful and shows how the smallest action can change the course of a life. The kitten took the brave action in approaching this big man but by doing so gave himself and all his little kitten buddies the chance of a healthy and happy life. It would have been very tough for them all out on the streets. Watch the video below, it’s amazing to see.
